The property & casualty operation in Paris follows two main targets: First, to be considered as a must reinsurer on the market in all lines of business thanks to our local presence and second, to keep and develop our leadership on some specific lines of business.

We have two specialties within the property & casualty operation - construction and personal accident. We have the expertise and are leaders on these specific markets.

Our organisation is structured by lines of business:

  • Construction: RC décennale (IDI) and engineering, both facultative and treaty are handled by a dedicated team, providing solutions to clients on that technical market. The team is the center of competence within the group for IDI business.
  • Personal accident and special risks: These lines of business, both facultative and treaty, are handled by a unique team as well. The team has specific knowledge on Cat PA recognised within the group.
  • Property and casualty: The department is dedicated to facultative for all property and casualty business with experienced underwriters.

Other property & casualty lines of business are handled from our office in Hannover. We particularly support our colleagues with the treaty business.

We constantly strive to be open and flexible, transparent and accessible. We aim to build long-term relationships with our clients that allow us to deliver a wide range of value-adding services, in particular:

  • Technical engineering iro construction projects
  • Access to the Hannover Re Group network
  • Innovation on insurance products
