Notice for former group insurance customers of Integrity Life Australia Limited
In September 2023, Integrity Life Australia Limited (Integrity) ceased writing new life insurance policies in their corporate group insurance channel. Since then, Integrity has worked directly with insurers as well as with intermediaries to transfer their portfolio of life insurance policies to other insurers.
On 2 April 2025, the Australian Prudential Regulatory Authority (APRA) exercised their powers under Section 27A of the Life Insurance Act to support an assignment to Hannover Life Re of Australasia Ltd (HLR Aus) of liabilities for some (but not all) of Integrity’s group life insurance policies that terminated with them prior to 28 February 2025.
HLR Aus will now be responsible for the management of new and open claims for the policies that have been assigned. You do not need to do anything, and your rights will remain the same. If you have an ongoing claim with Integrity, from 2 April 2025 this may now be managed by HLR Aus.
Who should I contact to find more information or if I have a claim?
Your contact remains the same, please contact your employer or your existing intermediary/broker.
If you have a question about an assessment or benefit payment, please email hlraus_group_claims[at]hlra.com.au or call 1300 459 342. However, if you need to lodge a new claim, please contact your employer or your intermediary/broker.
Our commitment to quality
We comply with the Life Insurance Code of Practice (Code) which was first established by the Financial Services Council (FSC) but is now owned and maintained by the Council of Australian Life Insurers (CALI). The Code sets out standards in relation to the provision of products and services covered by the Code.
The Code also outlines how we can provide support to customers with special needs or in financial hardship.
You can find out more about the Code and obtain a copy here.
We will continuously comply with the Life Insurance Code of Practice and life insurance industry standards in the interests of serving and supporting our customers.
We are a member of the Council of Australian Life Insurers (CALI).
As a subscriber to the Code, we make 10 key promises. Read about the 10 key Code promises here:
The Code also provides commitments regarding HIV and AIDS. We will no longer ask about sexual preferences or practices for underwriting purposes and will treat HIV or AIDS like any other medical condition when determining coverage. More information is available through the HIV and life insurance consumer fact sheet from CALI here.

Hannover Life Re of Australasia are proud to announce that we’ve achieved our ISO27001:2022 certification. Our certification demonstrates our dedication to maintaining the highest standards of information security and to protecting your information assets.
What is ISO27001?
ISO 27001 is an international standard for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). It provides a systematic approach to managing sensitive company information, ensuring its confidentiality, integrity, and availability. ISO 27001 sets out the requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving an ISMS within the context of an organisation's overall business risks. The standard is designed to be applicable to organisations of all sizes and industries and is widely recognised as the benchmark for information security management.
Achieving ISO 27001 certification demonstrates an organisation's commitment to protecting sensitive information and mitigating risks related to data breaches, cyber attacks, and regulatory compliance.
